Pig Whistle

The idea behind the Pig Whistle is to make the absolute best tasting pork barbeque - bar none.

 

I’ve been a man of the grill for decades now, but the technique is only part of the equation.  I start with the freshest, happiest, pasture-raised hogs from small-scale, independent farmers in the greater Chapel Hill area and take every opportunity throughout the cooking process to bring the pork to it’s fullest natural potential.

 

My wife calls it meat butter, and, albeit a bit strange, it’s a great description.

 

I provide a nice Eastern North Carolina style sauce (that means vinegar-based), but the sauce truly is optional with Pig Whistle barbeque – there is so much flavor already cooked right in.
